This is the song that inspired The Exception, a short story I am working on for the 1NS series with Decadent Publishing. Well, actually, the song inspired me to write the story of how I fell in love with my dear husband. I was listening to the album while painting our living room a month or so ago and I felt a real connection to the song; it was only ever going to be a story for myself. But when I was approached by Decadent to write for the 1NS series, my original short story idea was transformed to fit the 1NS premise. Many things remain the same, so there will be a lot of ‘me’ in this story…except for the setting and nationality of the main characters (Irish and Cockney). And of course, i didn’t meet my husband after a one night stand. We actually grew up together — same street/school for most of our childhood. But, that’s a different story.
